Step 3: Place Egg Cup

Hello Mosquito G.R.I.D. Agent,

By now, you should have received your Mosquito G.R.I.D. kit! You will use the egg cup to collect mosquito eggs.

Here is what you need to do next:

Watch the "Step 3" section of the video below for directions. Before going outside, apply repellent or take other bite prevention measures.

Part 1: Choose the Location for the Cup

A cartoonish green bush with leaves in front of a brick wall. — If possible, find a shaded location.

Helpful hints: Look for a shaded area near plants or trees.

In soft, uneven soil, use the spike to keep the lure from tipping over.

Part 2: Label Egg Paper

Be sure your egg paper is labeled with your agent number (use a pencil, ink runs when wet) before placing it in the cup. Follow the video directions for proper placement.

Part 3: Fill and Place Your Cup on Sunday
